The first census of the United States included the following information: Name of head of family, number of free white males age 16 and over, including heads of families; number of free white males under age 16; number of all free white females, including heads of families; number of all other free persons; number of slaves. This reference is of great benefit to family genealogists and historians. It's a great point of reference for those early ancestors. Every name index makes it easy to pinpoint where individuals resided in 1790.
