This book is a compilation of deaths reported from more than thirty states and Canada that were published in the Pittsburgh Courier from January to December 1937. The deaths featured in this book occurred mainly in the Midwest and Southeast.

  • Arkansas: Althemier, Brinkley, Clarendon, Crawfordsville, El Dorado, Fort Smith, Helena, Monticello, North Little Rock, and Pine Bluff
  • Florida: Cottage Hill, Fernandina, Fort Myers, Oviedo, Pensacola, Reddick, Tarpon Springs, and West Palm Beach
  • Louisiana: Abbeville, Baton Rouge, DeQuincy, Franklinton, Madisonville, Mandeville, New Iberia, Shreveport, and Thibodaux
