Jack County, Texas was created in 1857 out of lands taken from Cooke County. This 1870 Federal Census is a record of those living in the county at this time. Each entry shows the family and household numbers enabling you to go back to the original microfilm copy of these records and research the entries. The names of each of those living in the household, their age, sex and race is given. Also included are the records of the occupations, personal and property values as well as the place of birth of each individual. A fairly complete record of the family is given in these records.
