Jasper County, Texas is one of the original counties in the Republic of Texas being established in 1836. Their marriage records survive only from the mid to late 1840s as there was a courthouse fire in 1845. These are probably the earliest to survive. The entries in this volume give the name of the bride/groom and the date of the marriage.
