Runnels County, Texas was created in 1858 out of the lands of Bexar and Travis Counties; however, it was not organized until 1880. These marriages represent the first that are recorded for the county. In this volume, there are two alphabetical listings. The first of the listings contains the name of the groom with the name of the bride and date of the marriage. The second listings is alphabetical by the surname of the bride with the name of the groom and the date of the wedding.
