Williamson County, Texas, named for Judge Robert McAlphin Williamson, was created in 1848. Judge Williamson was an editor, patriot, country school teacher, a lawmaker and a Major of the first Texas Rangers. This volume of Marriage Records represent four books of those records beginning in 1860 and going through 1884. The material consists of two alphabetical listings. The first is by the surname of the groom with the name of the bride and date of the wedding. The second listing is by the surname of the bride and contains the name of the groom and the date of the marriage, also.
