Gray County, Texas was created in 1876 but not organized until 1902 from territory formerly Clay County. These marriage records cover the first twenty-eight years of the county and are, therefore, valuable to the historian and genealogical researcher. The volume contains two alphabetical listings of marriages, one for the grooms and the other for the brides. Each listing consists of the date the license was issued, the names of the groom and bride.
