Boyle County, Kentucky is the 94th county and was formed in 1842 from Mercer and Lincoln counties. The information for this publication was derived from two sources - the first of these is History of Kentucky by Lewis Collins in 1882 and the second is KENTUCKY: A History of the State by W. H. Perin, J. H. Battle and G. C. Kniffin written in 1885. The biographical sketches were written by the families and therefore, the information is more accurate than if someone else had written it.
