Hopkins County, Kentucky History and Biographies

$14.00

A portion of Henderson County was selected to be made into Hopkins County, Kentucky in 1806 to become the 49th county in the young state. It was named for General Samuel Hopkins. Later in 1857 Webster was created out of the Hopkins County territory. This volume is a reprint of two sources. The first is History of Kentucky by Lewis Collins written in 1882 and the second is KENTUCKY: A History of the State - written by W. H. Perin, J. H. Battle, and G. C. Kniffin in 1885. The source for most of the biographical sketches was submitted by the individual families listed, and therefore, most of the information can be considered correct.
