Cedar County, Missouri, located in the southwestern portion of the state, was created on 14 February 1845 and was named for the Cedar Creek, a tributary of the Sac River. This came from the fact of the many red cedar trees in the area of Cedar County. In this volume you will find a brief history of the county, the Marriage Book A 1845-1865, and Will Book A 1846-1876.
