Chariton County, Missouri Records
Chariton County, located in the mid-state on the Chariton River, was created on the 16th of November 1820 out of lands taken from Howard County. Included in this set of records will be found a brief history of the county, the tax list of 1821, the Patrons of Atlas of 1876 and the Death Register 1883-1887. These records give names for the area from early until almost the beginning of the 20th century.
