Shannon County, Missouri Records

Shannon County, located in the southeastern portion of Missouri, was created on 29 January 1841 and named for George F. "Peg-Leg" Shannon, a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. In this volume you will find a brief history of the county, and a short listing of the military pensioners in the county in 1878.
