Dent County, located in the middle of the state, it was created on 10 February 1851 by Dustin Counts and Nicholas Berardy. They chose the name “Dent” for State Representative Lewis Dent, one of the pioneer settlers who came from Virginia in 1835. In this volume you will find a brief history of the county, county death records 1883-1885, Marriage Book A 1851-1870, and Will Book A 1866-1893.
