St. Charles County, Missouri, located along the Mississippi River in the central portion of the state, was created on 1 October 1812 and named for Saint Charles Borromeo, an Italian Cardinal. Included in this collection of records is a brief history of the county, Marriage Records 1804-1817, newspaper items of interest, 1836 land tax for the county, and the Atlas of 1875.
