The information contained in this book is an attempt to research the extant records of Wilkes County and some of Surry, Rowan and other counties and to present a compilation of these records about the early pioneers who lived on the waters of the streams that flowed into the Yadkin River and along the line drawn between Surry and Wilkes counties in 1778.
