Hardin county was formed in 1819.  The entries found in this book cover the appointments of the administrators and guardians; indentured applications; reports of inquests juries; releasements, removals, and insolvencies from the tax lists; wills; inventory of administrator and guardian settlements, the requests of free blacks; survey of occupant claims; petitions of widows’ dowers; acknowledgement of bills of sale for slaves; certificates of deeds of conveyance; and pertinent records.
