Climb the Hills of Gordon

Located in the northwestern portion of the State, Gordon County was created in 1850 from Cass (later renamed Bartow County) and Floyd Counties. Prior to its creation, these lands were part of the 1832 Cherokee Land Lottery. A long out-of-print book filled with stories about the people who made Gordon County, their businesses and many little-known facts about this county and its people. It is truly a refreshing history covering the period from 1857-1957.
