Early Pulaski County, Virginia Settlers 1840-1850 Census

$15.00

The 1840 Census of Pulaski County in southwestern Virginia is the first census for this particular county and therefore, is important to establish for the first time, the names of the early residents. The census gives little information other than that of the names of the heads of households and everyone else is given as a number per age/sex. The 1850 Census gives the names of all of those living in the household at the time. In addition to the census, there is a short listing of marriage bonds that are recorded on a roll of microfilm under Montgomery County. Also, there is the 1850 Mortality Schedule which gives information on those who died during the year from June 1, 1849 - May 31, 1950.
