This is the story of emigration from one Swiss village, Affoltern am Albis. The reasons for this emigration were twofold: the Mennonites left for religious reasons; the Reformed left for economic reasons. There were several Mennonite families who left this village and are mentioned in the 1649-1651 list, in the 1661 list, and again in the 1680 list which are all included in this book.
