Currituck County, North Carolina Wills 1690-1760
Currituck began in 1668 as a precinct of Albemarle County that covered the top portion of the coast of North Carolina at the time of creation. In 1739, Currituck became a county and has been ever since. These wills are kept in the Secretary of State’s Office in Raleigh, NC.
“BELL, WILLIAM - August 27, 1721. August 31, 1721. Son: William. Wife and Children mentioned, but not named. Witnesses: Thomasin Oneal, Mary Oneal, Deborah Pell, Sarah Walker. Proven before Thos. Taylor, John Woodhouse. This is a nuncupative will proven by witnesses after testators death.”
