Pulaski County, Arkansas History and Biographical Sketches
Pulaski County, created in1818, is located in the middle of the state with the State Capitol of Little Rock as the county seat. This material was originally published by Goodspeed Publishing in the late 1800's and this reprint contains memoirs and biographies of the early pioneers. Because the information was compiled by the referenced family, it should be very accurate and detailed. This volume also contains a brief history of the county as it developed up to the time this volume was written in the 1880s.
R. W. Lindsey, M.D. In Union County, Ark., April 11, 1846, R. W. Lindsey first saw the light of day. He is the son of Caleb Lindsey, originally from Christian County, KY., who was born in 1807, and came to Arkansas in 1818, settling in Lawrence County. After a few year’s residence here he moved to Little Rock, and then to Saline County, with his father, Caleb Lindsey, Sr., the latter dying in 1826, in Saline County. ...etc...
