JOHN CONRADIS learned his love of American history from his father who was a published author of local Civil War history in Frederick and Montgomery Counties, Maryland. He has been a student of the Colonial and Revolutionary War periods in Maryland since his teens and has spent years researching Maryland’s role in the Revolution. He is a member of the Company of Military Historians. He saw active service in the U.S. Army in Vietnam; and was a career intelligence collection officer for thirty years, which included a number of assignments overseas. John lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife, Hazel Bagwell. Their son Brandon Conradis is a journalist who currently lives and works in Bonn, Germany.
