Craven County, North Carolina, originally called Archdale Precinct of Bath County, was formed in 1712.
With its town of New Bern, Craven County was an important seat of commerce and government during the colonial and early state periods.
The abstracts of records which follow are fromthe North Carolina State Archives. This volume follows the order of the records as they appear in microfilm.
