Learner Blackman Harrison's father Edmond was a son of William Harrison of Northampton Co., North Carolina, who had moved from Brunswick Co., Virginia. Brunswick had separated from Prince George Co., Virginia, as will be seen in the chapter on Proven Harrisons. This book attempts to make a case for William of Virginia and North Carolina being descended from the first immigrant Benjamin Harrison of "Wakefield" in Surry Co., Virginia and thus from the Harrisons of Gobion's Manor in Northamptonshire, England.
