CD: Tennessee, Volume 1 - Carol Wells. This CD-ROM contains the three volumes of Davidson County, Tennessee, county court minutes, covering the years 1783-1792, 1792-1799 and 1799-1803 respectively. Many persons mentioned in these minutes do not appear in any other records. County court responsibilities went beyond the hearing of lawsuits; roads and ferries had to be provided, brands and marks registered, orphans cared for, estates settled, and many other details of life handled in an orderly manner.
