This CD-ROM contains electronic image reprints of the five volumes in this important biographical encyclopedia. It is a very useful resource for Virginia history and genealogy. Volumes I, II, and III of the set were written by Dr. Tyler, and were intended to furnish a history of VA through biographies of its eminent citizens. Each of these volumes has its own name index. Volumes IV and V consist of biographies contributed by the subjects, and were only edited by Dr. Tyler. Illustrated with portraits of the principals.
