National Intelligencer Newspaper Abstracts, 1827-1829

Entries include classified ads, appointments by the president, deaths, legal notices, marriages, miscellaneous notices, congressional lists, runaway slave notices and rewards, tax lists, and many others. The abstracts are a great aid to finding locations, ages, or relationships of relatives in the Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia areas. The author has organized the material by year and date to make finding specific days easier. A list of abbreviations, plus an index of surnames, tracts of lands/places and ships/vessels are included. The abstracts refer mainly to people in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
