Records of the Greenbottom Baptist Church Cabell County, (West) Virginia

$2900

The Greenbottom Church was a missionary Baptist church founded in West Virginia between 1835 and 1836. The community of Greenbottom was located near the boundary line between Cabell and Mason Counties, and because of its location, it brought members from both counties as well as Lawrence County, Ohio. Beginning with a list of all church members, this publication provides comprehensive records of the church meetings during the years 1836 through 1853, as well as several appendices covering church events, area cemeteries and maps, church officers, and other Baptist churches and their members. A full-name index completes this work.
