Copy of the Old Records of the Town of Duxbury, Massachusetts, from 1642 to 1770

$35.00

The town of Duxbury, created in 1637, was third established by Plymouth Colony, and was settled by many of the original Mayflower passengers. This important work contains a transcription of all the town records which were extant in 1892, except for the vital statistics which were extant in 1892, except for the vital statistics which were published separately. It contains primarily records of the actions taken at the town meetings, of land grants, and land transfers. The land records are especially helpful in establishing who was resident in the town and when, and in tracing land titles which is so important to genealogical research in the colonial period. There is a complete name index.
