The Bakerville Review was a rural, small town newspaper edited and published by William Wyatt in Bakerville, Humphreys County, Tennessee between the years of 1896 and 1909. It was usually four pages, but occasionally it was six or eight pages in length. Local correspondents reported the births, deaths, marriages, illnesses, accidents, visitors, reunions, play parties, protracted church meetings, "dinners-on-the-ground", pea hullings, ice cream suppers, singings and all of the flaming romances that were ignited at these gatherings.
All in all, these abstracts from The Bakerville Review give us a delightful picture of rural, small town America at the turn of the century.
