In this volume the author has abstracted the essentials of the information contained in Book 16 which covers the period 1758 through 1763. A wide range of transactions are covered. Especially helpful to genealogists are the relationships revealed in these records. Often the names of wives, children and other relationships are shown.
Most of the book covers land transactions, bills of sale, wills, administrations and inventories. Also recorded are bonds, agreements of indentured servants, and accounts of estates.
This book contains the names, sex, ages, relationships (if any) of hundreds of Negro slaves and the Indentured servants; including the names of the persons, who boutht, sold, gifted, and bartered these unfortunate persons. In previous abstracts of these same records, the above said individuals had been excluded.
