Nelson County, Kentucky 1850 Census

This transcription was made from a microfilm copy of the original census obtained from the National Archives in Washington, DC.  All individuals named are white with the exception of a few colored people.  The latter have a (B) or (M) after their name to designate "Black" or "Mulatto" as noted in the census.  The 1850 Slave Schedule is not included here.  All occupations have been indicated with an abbreviated code which is defined.  Birthplaces are shown using the standard two-letter USPS codes.  The value of real estate owned is given in dollars next to the person's occupation.
