This historical narrative spans three centuries, from Cromwell's time to the present. It documents the English heritage of several Mayflower Pilgrims, including antecedents of Sarah Cushman (1766-1842); the Welsh environment of John Morris (c1677-?); and descendants of Sarah Cushman and Morris Morris (1761-1809). Chronicled are a variety of events including a Welsh castle in flames and the building of Fort Morris before the Revolution for protection from hostile forces. Part II concentrates on one family branch which migrated to Indiana, led by Morris Morris (1780-1864) and his wife Rachael Morris. Part III is an extensive, annotated, indexed genealogy including related surnames.
