The Manchester Historic Association was established to preserve important records relating to the history of Manchester, New Hampshire. A collection of short articles, papers read before the meetings of the society, and transcripts can be found in this work, covering the topics of the Snow-shoe Scouts, Indian Wars in New Hampshire, The McClary Family, sermons preached at Amoskeag Falls, The Stowell Yard (a cemetery), biographies of artists in Manchester, the pioneer days of Amoskeag, the Battle of Bennington, Stark’s Command at Bennington, and Old Crown Point Road. The author also includes several biographies and portraits of significant locals, as well as three memoirs. This publication offers the fourth volume of the compiled documents, which cover the years 1908–1910.
