The first part, Territorial Studies, contains a series of authoritative articles on the records of genealogical and historical importance of the 11th and 12th centuries. There are almost 150 pages devoted to the Domesday Book alone. Much attention is paid towards detail and abstracts from the original documents. The second part, Historical Studies, is composed of many chapters addressing a vast array of topic which weave in and out of the field of genealogy and history, leaving the reader with a large collection of charters and pedigrees.
