The 1850 Census of Floyd County was the fifth Census taken after the formation of the county in 1800. (1810, 1820, 1830, 1840). This Census Record was copied from microfilm records of the original population schedules on file at the National Archives, Washington, DC. The 1850 Census was the first Census to record the full name of all members of each family, their age, sex, the value of real estate owned, occupation, and the State, Territory or County of birth.
