The German-American Soldier in the Wars of the U.S.: J. G. Rosegarten's History

$31.00

The second edition of J. G. Rosengarten's The German Soldier in the Wars of the United States was published in 1890, and it was considered a major source of information on the German-American contributions to U.S. military campaigns from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War. Based on a series of journal articles, Rosengarten's book incorporated history, biography, and first-hand accounts from the veterans. A surname index was included as well. Dr. Tolzmann has made many helpful additions in this new version, including a table of contents, an appendix about General Washington's German bodyguard, and new chapters covering the Spanish-American War, both World Wars, the space age, the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and the Gulf War.
