The first column lists the full name of the head of the family, followed by column headings for Free White Males: Under 10 years of age, Of 10 and under 16, Of 16 and under 26 including heads of families, Of 26 and under 45 including heads of families, Of 45 and upwards including heads of families; Free White Females: Under 10 years of age, Of 10 and under 16, Of 16 and under 26 including heads of families, Of 26 and under 45 including heads of families, Of 45 and upwards including heads of families; and a final column is labeled: All other free persons except Indians not taxed. “An Act for the Second Census, or Enumeration, of the Inhabitants of the United States, Approved February 28, 1800” and a summary of population by counties and towns for New Hampshire precede the census entries.
