These are the first deeds recorded in Marion County, Tennessee and are presented here in the full text as transcribed by the W. P. A. workers. They did not make an abstraction but entered the full text of each deed. This gives a great deal more information than just an abstraction, so the reader gains more than usual. Sometimes the type is blurred, but with a little patience can be read easily. We chose to present the materials in this fashion to avoid any more mistakes in transcription.
