This volume contains abstracts of two of the counties newspapers for 1904 and 1907, i.e. "The Enterprise" and "The Weekly Herald". By 1907, The Enterprise changed its name to The Republican Enterprise edited by W. W. Shields. The Weekly Herald was edited by T. J. Campbell. There are articles, advertisements and other items of interested in the "Bits of Local Information". This latter column is the gossip column in the paper with the goings on with the local citizens. A great deal of local information can be gleaned from these papers.
