Perhaps the seat of the Houston Circuit in 1835 was Haynesville, Houston County, Georgia. Other societies mentioned in the roll book are Flint River, Sand Hill, Shiloh, Liberty Chapel, Mt. Carmel, Asbury Chapel, New Providence, and New Hope.
