Henry County, located in the mid-western portion of Missouri, was created on 13 December 1834 and originally named Rives County for Senator William Cabell Rives of Virginia. Rives lost his popularity when he joined the Whig party and so the county was renamed in 1841 after Patrick Henry of Virginia. In this volume, you will find a brief history of the county, and an abstract of Deed Books A and B, 1835-1840.
