Located on Missouri's northern border with Iowa, almost on the Mississippi River, Scotland County was created in 1841 and was named for the country of Scotland. Included in this material are the records of "Old Settlers Association" which required each member to give their name, age and date of settlement. Following these records there is the records of Marriage Book A 1841-1857, Abstracts of Wills, Book B 1846-1867, and Death Records 1883-1888.
