Phelps County, Missouri Records

Phelps County is located in the middle southern portion of Missouri. The first Phelps County Court convened on November 25, 1857 in the John Dillon cabin. The historic courthouse, begun in mid-summer of 1860, was used as a Union hospital during the American Civil War and later served as the courthouse. These records include the Marriage Book A 1857-1865; Marriage Book B 1865-1875; and the Wills, Bonds and Administrations, 1859-1863 and Book B, 1863-1870.
