Carroll County, located in the northwestern portion of Missouri, was created on 2 January 1833 and was named for Charles Carroll of Carrollton, Maryland, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. In this volume, we find a brief history of the county, Patrons of Atlas of 1876, and the Death Register of 1883-1890. These are great listings of the early people in the county.
