Orange County, Texas, located on the Sabine River, was created in 1852 out of the lands taken from Jefferson County. This set of records found in the county court clerk's office is an alphabetical listing of the probate cases registered in the county from 1852 up until 1938. Each entry gives the names of the deceased, minors and other principals with the date the case was filed and the case number. The case number is how the county court clerk will locate the original papers for anyone wishing to have copies of them.
