Gonzales County, Texas was created in 1832 but not organized until 1837 from the Old Mexican Municipality. This second volume of the marriages of the county contains two alphabetical listings of records, the first is that of the grooms and the second that of the brides. Each list contains the date the marriage was issued, the name of the groom and bride.
