Kenton County, Kentucky, located on the Ohio River in the northern part of the state, was created in 1840 from the lands that once belonged to Campbell County. The sources of information for this volume came from two sources. First, History of Kentucky written by Lewis Collins in 1882 and secondly, Kentucky: A History of the State written by W. H. Perrin, J. H. Battle and G. C. Kniffin in 1885. The information found in this volume came primarily from the families involved and therefore, this can be considered more accurate than most other publications.
