Rhea County, established in 1807, is located in the lower East Tennessee portion of the Tennessee Valley and therefore, was a key player in the westward migration of those settlers going west through the Valley. During the 1820-1821 time period, this volume covers the day to day running of the county with the myriad of events going on there.
