Rhea County, established in 1807, is located in the lower East Tennessee portion of the Tennessee Valley and therefore, was a key player in the westward migration of those settlers going west through the Valley. During the 1820-1821 time period, this volume covers the day to day running of the county with the myriad of events going on there.

Williams esquires or either of them attend at the time and place of holding the first Court in McMinn County and qualify the Justices of said Court.
