Rhea County [Tennessee] Vital Statistics, Record of Deaths, 1925-1939

The State of Tennessee required all counties to keep all the births, deaths, and marriages records after 1914. However, it was not enforced until the late 1920s and so Rhea County began in 1925 to keep their records. These death records give the name of the deceased, age, sex and race with the location of their birth and death. In addition, the date of the death and cause of death is given also.

BROYLES, Addison M. 77 yrs WM b. Rhea Co., d. Rhea Spring on Sept. 28,1930 of Chronic Nephritis. SHARP, G. W. - 8 yrs WM b. Tennessee d. Rhea Co. on Dec 13, 1932 from explosion of gasoline tank.
